Built with two tightly fit cross-bars tenons and a pointy nose, the Ojibwa is a really narrow snowshoe but extra long to offer maximum flotation. The narrow form allows for use similar to skis, to explore plains and open fields. The pointy tip opens a path through grasses and underbrush for an easier walk. This model was first built in Northern Canada, where smaller trees favored the fabrication of snowshoes in two pieces. The heavy duty lacing is ideal for spring time condition and wet snow.
